Bootlace is a new jailbreak app which allows iPhone 2G and 3G users to install Froyo (Android 2.2) on their iPhone, without the need for a computer.
If you're interested in trying this out for yourself, you need a jailbroken iPhone 2G or 3G. As of this moment, there is no further support for other iDevices. You'll also need these instructions, courtesy of FSM.
As Engadget reports, the result isn't spectacular - but, that's not caused by Bootlace. This clever jailbreak application does the job well, and the process isn't too complex.
iPhone 3G users will also be pleased to learn that Bootlace is compatible right up to iOS 4.1. However, some jailbreak tools are incompatible with the app, so be sure to take a careful look at the instructions before attempting to install Android 2.2 on your iPhone handset.
And, if you have any comments regarding your own experience with the above process, feel free to post them below!
