Jailbreak Only: NoMute - Brings The Lock Switch Back!

NoMute is a great jailbreak tweak which promises to bring the orientation-lock switch back to your iPad.
Apple's latest software update, iOS 4.2, famously changed the orientation-lock switch into a mute switch. Following the first news of this, way back when the iOS 4.2 beta versions were released, Steve Jobs confirmed that the iPad's mute switch was here to stay.
But, thanks to the jailbreak community, it's now possible for iPads to get their orientation-lock switch back. A free tweak which is available in Cydia (via the BigBoss repository), called NoMute, can grant users an orientation-lock switch quickly and easily.
Obviously, you'll need a jailbroken iPad in order to download NoMute. Currently, a "tethered" jailbreak solution is available for iPads running iOS 4.2. For more information, check out our article on the iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak.
And, if you do download and install NoMute, let us know how it works for you in the comments. Thanks to 9to5Mac for spotting this.
