Star Wars Arcade: Falcon Gunner, an augmented reality iOS game, has just hit the App Store. And, from what we can see, it seems to be pretty awesome indeed. Falcon Gunner places players in the Millennium Falcon's famous gunnery seat, facing an onslaught of TIE fighters just waiting to be blasted into smithereens. However, that's not all. Players also work through 20+ levels lifted straight from the original trilogy - such as the Death Star escape, or the Kessel Run. However, with the power of augmented reality, iDevice owners can battle TIE fighters as they fly through their own bedroom, or down their own street. As you can see from the embedded video below (courtesy of TechCrunch), this works really well. Besides the amazing gameplay, Falcon Gunner also comes with support for Game Center and the Retina display. Personally, I'm really pleased we don't have to wait for Game Center and Retina optimization in a later update. Currently, Star Wars Arcade: Falcon Gunner is available in the App Store for $4.99. However, it is only available for iPhone 3GS, 4, and iPod touch 4G. Check it out, and let us know what you think of Star Wars' latest iOS game in the comments below.
