Epic Games Releases Unreal Development Kit - Expect More Awesome iOS Games Soon

Epic Games has released an updated version of its Unreal Development Kit, which now supports iOS. The development kit was used by Epic Games to create Infinity Blade; one of the most graphically impressive iOS games to ever hit the App Store.
Developers can download the UDK for free, however, in order to sell games created using the kit a couple of fees must be paid. First, developers must pay a licensing fee of $99. Additionally, zero percent of the first $5,000 and 25 percent on all additional revenue (above the first $5,000) earned by developers using the UDK must be paid to Epic Games.
For iOS fans like you and me, this is great news. Personally, I think Infinity Blade is an amazing game - especially when playing the game on the iPhone 4, with the Retina display. The release of the UDK for iOS means more "unreal" creations will hopefully hit the App Store soon.
We'll keep you posted.
