QuickAdvice: Navigate Malls and Airports With Point Inside
Point Inside Maps for Airports & Malls (Free) by Point Inside, Inc. is a super-useful app for the busy holiday travel and shopping season. Whether you are planning a trip or a trip to the mall, Point Inside will help you find your way around airports and shopping centers. With the newest update, you can even create and share a gift wish list!
Tap on the search icon, and you’ll see a map of your current location along with all the malls and airports in your area. If you want to check out an area you’re not actually in at the moment, simply type it into the search box.
Start by tapping on one of the malls for more information: first you get a map. Tap Search for a list of stores and tap a store for its location on the mall map. Then tap the arrow for more details, like a description of the store, phone number, and hours. Tap the point icon in the upper right hand corner for restaurants, bathrooms, and ATMs.
Tap Search at the bottom for a list of all the stores in the mall and a search box to find a particular one. At the top, you have the option to search Stores, Events, Promos, and Services at the mall.
To create a wish list, tap Wishes and pick a store. Tap “+” to start your list. Scan the barcode of the desired item, enter the desired quantity and price of the item. Tap Done, and repeat to add whatever items you’d like. When you have completed your wish list, tap Sharing to share this list through Facebook.
Now, let’s check out an airport. Go back to the original map and tap an airport icon, or type one into the search box. Airport maps are set up just the same way as the mall maps, except in addition to all the stores and restaurants, you also get locations for all the airline desks, gates, lounges, baggage claim areas, rental cars and other travel services.
