A Chance To Win A Setlist Metronome (Universal) Promo Code With A Retweet Or Comment

January 14, 2011
AppAdvice has teamed up with Diatche Software in order to offer you a chance to win one of fifteen (15) promo codes for Setlist Metronome for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch ($.99). Every musician from rock stars to those who play in the school band need to know the elements of music, and be able to stay on beat. Even if you've never played an instrument or been in a music class, you've probably seen a simple instrument called a metronome. While the old-fashioned metronomes simply offer the continuous beat reminder, newer versions can provide so much more. Specifically, devices can now offer different tons for ticks, and even permit more detailed adjustments. For example, a different tone tick can help identify the downbeat of a measure. Getting to the point, Diatche Software's Setlist Metronome includes the sound reminder, but also allows options for two different visual reminders and a physical reminder. The two visual reminders are a flash on each beat and a rotating light, moving 1/4 of a circle per beat. For those using an iDevice with the ability to vibrate, Setlist Metronome can also initiate a vibration on each downbeat of a measure. Another big feature of Setlist Metronome is setlists. Create your own songs by identifying the signature key, beats per minute, time signature, song duration, song name, and any notations. The three included songs, plus any you create, can be added to an existing or new setlist. You can modify the tempo on the fly with a slide control, or even just tap your iDevice at the pace you need the tempo to change to. I'll give you a rundown of the user interface. Across the top, you have the typical playback controls: previous song, play or pause, and next song. Along the left side of the screen, you'll find the buttons to enable and disable the feedback systems: flash, audible, vibrate, and rotating light. Along the right side: hide controls, manage songs and setlists, and settings At the bottom, there is the button for notation entry and the tempo adjustment controls. In addition to the button controls, tap and hold in the center of the screen to show and hide the control UI. Swipe up or down in the middle of the screen to make minor changes to the tempo speed. Attached to a few of the control sections you will notice a "-" or "+" button, which are used to hide just that area of controls; a nice tidying up feature. To conclude, the settings panel contains options to activate or deactivate Downbeat and Auto Next Song, plus the option to choose one of five different "tick" sounds. Setlist Metronome is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 4.2 or later.
