Future iPads May Have A Facial Recognition Camera?

According to a patent application recently published by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, Apple may be considering a "facial recognition cam," and "new speaker array" for a future version of the iPad.
As noted by Patently Apple, who spotted the patent:
The patent introduces us to three and four speaker arrays that will advance the iPad's audio range so as to cover high range tweeter and a lower range speaker. But the patent packs a bigger punch by illustrating the iPad's camera that will include facial and location orientation. So if you're chatting in landscape or portrait, the camera will reorient itself accordingly.Sounds like a good idea, don't you think? The patent also features a new iPad stand that "would work with a magnetic backing." The concept, which was first introduced in May 2010, seems to still be in the works (see below image). We'll keep you posted on these interesting patents as more news becomes available. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
