The iPhone Dev-Team will soon release an untethered jailbreak solution for Windows, which will support iOS 4.2.1.
In a tweet posted earlier today from @redsn0w_testers, the Dev-Team announced the news, stating:
Since Apple still serves the 4.1 IPSW (not blobs!), we'll do a Windows redsn0w release for untethered 4.2.1 via Monte-4.1However, be warned. The Dev-Team notes that the Windows version of redsn0w is incredibly slow, because it "uses filesystem instead of RAM." We'll let you know when the iPhone Dev-Team releases a final, untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 4.2.1. In the meantime, let us know if you plan on jailbreaking under Apple's latest version of the iOS in the comments below.
