January 1, 2011
Remote Conductor is a new iOS app that can turn your iPad into a feature rich trackpad for your Mac. Not only does Remote Conductor feature a multi-touch trackpad, but the app also allows iPad owners to see all the open windows on their Mac, and switch between them. It's also possible to launch Mac applications using the iPad app. Main features of Remote Controller include:
  • Wireless control of your Mac over Wi-Fi
  • Full Landscape and Portrait support
  • Multiple monitor support
  • Convenient navigation icons or gestures to switch modes
  • 256bit AES encryption on all network traffic
  • Server browser for automatic computer discovery using Bonjour
  • Remembers pairing for multiple computers
  • Auto re-connect to last server
  • Highly optimized network code for smooth, lag free operation
  • Configurable network port
Currently, the application is priced at $9.99. It's Mac only at the moment, but support for Windows is promised by Remote Conductor's developer in the app's release notes. Remote Conductor definitely looks like an interesting iPad app. If you've got a spare $10, check it out, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
