WSJ: Verizon Is "Confident" It Can Carry The iPhone

January 10, 2011
Recently, we told you that AT&T PR boss Larry Solomon said users of the Verizon iPhone will be in the “slow lane.” Following this, The Wall Street Journal has reported that Verizon is "confident" it can carry the iPhone. Here's what the WSJ said:
Verizon Wireless, the country's largest wireless carrier, is confident enough in its network that it will offer unlimited data-use plans when it starts selling the iPhone around the end of this month, a person familiar with the matter said. Such plans would provide a key means of distinguishing its service from rival AT&T Inc., which limits how much Internet data such as videos and photos its customers may use each month.
This further validates the rumor we told you about yesterday, which stated that Verizon will offer unlimited data plans when it carries the iPhone. Currently, we're all expecting the Verizon iPhone to be announced tomorrow. As of this moment, nothing has been officially confirmed. We'll keep you posted.
