Burn The Rope v1.2 Adds Retina Support, New Levels, New Insects, And Other Improvements

February 8, 2011
Quickly moving along, Big Blue Bubble releases Burn the Rope v1.2 as promised. The update adds more levels, more insects, and Retina display support. Mentioned a few weeks ago alongside the first Burn the Rope update, v1.2 improvements include: • Retina Support • Improved Graphics and sound • Complete level re-design • 16 new levels • 3 more insects • Speed up’ mode • Bonus rounds The additional 16 levels push the total to nearly 115, and span them across seven total sections: Firepit, Wood Pile, Dock, Outhouse, Wagon Wheel, Shed, and Cottage. Bonus rounds are levels pitting you to proceed as efficiently as possible, even if sometimes messy. They can add up to a few dozen extra points. The three new insects include the Firebug, Water Bug, and Electric Bug. The Water bug douses your flame -- of course, the Firebug explode when you ignite it, and the Electric Bug sends a current to its mate that ignites a new flame. These new critters have been integrated and optimized for use in the previous levels, as well as the new ones. That makes some additional excitement for those who haven't made their way to the end just yet. Burn the Rope is designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later, and available in the App Store at the regular price of $1.99. [gallery link="file" columns="4"]
