Think you're a sharpshooter, able to target an object in the blink of an eye? We aren't talking sniper sprees in Halo but it will require someone with accurate and efficient targeting and reaction skills. Despite GLuT 4D having some mow-'em-down moments, it's primarily about accuracy. Your mission is to destroy the GLuT blocks from the 4th dimension before they reach you.
The game uses the gyroscope for movement, that includes the main menu. where you move your iDevice left and right to navigate. Tap Start to begin play or tap on Menu to adjust settings, view high scores, display the instructions, and more.
In-game controls are simple. Maneuver your iPhone or iPod touch up, down, left, and right to target the two guns (one on each side), then tap or tap-and-hold on a gun to fire. Blue cubes are the easiest to destroy while gray colored blocks will take a dozen or so shots to vaporize. Certain blocks will populate when destroyed while others can provide power-ups: more rapid gunfire, etc. Scoring is a result of how long you were able to survive. It's game over once you allow four cubes to penetrate the screen.
GLuT 4D provides a global leaderboard and 20 achievements via Game Center, plus its own local scoreboard. Your continued efforts will not only be a path to achievement earning gratification, but will also make that road much easier to travel with high potential power-ups as you level-up.
My only two requests would be some sort of reticle and a gyroscope calibrator. GLuT 4D is compatible with iPhone 4 and 4th generation iPod touch running iOS 4.1 or later.
