Happy Birthday Steve Jobs: The Apple Legend Turns 56
by Joe White
February 24, 2011
Today, Steve Jobs turns 56. And, on behalf of the entire team here at AppAdvice, I'd like to wish the Apple CEO a very happy birthday. I would also like to wish Steve Jobs a speedy recovery, too.
Steve Jobs means an awful lot to Apple as a company, and Apple's fanbase - people like you, and me. His charisma and personality are irreplaceable, as is his creativity.
Under Jobs' leadership, Apple has created a variety of "revolutionary" products - such as the Macintosh computer, the iPod, the iPad, and the iPhone. Perhaps the greatest achievement to come out of Cupertino in the past 10 years is the iOS: Apple's mobile operating system.
Additionally, you might not know this, but Steve Jobs actually invented the iPhone - his name is on the original patent.
Back in January, Steve Jobs took a medical leave of absence for undisclosed reasons. Since then, a variety of reports have hit the Web, claiming that Jobs is suffering from cancer - an illness he managed to beat back in 2009.
Apple needs Steve Jobs at the helm, the company just wouldn't be the same without him. So Steve, get well soon - and fast. We need you on stage for WWDC '11.
And, once again, happy birthday. If you want to send Steve Jobs a birthday message, feel free to post it in the comments.
