Jailbreak Only: Greenpois0n Now Supports Verizon iPhone

February 8, 2011
The Chronic Dev-Team has updated greenpois0n to support iOS 4.2.6; the version of iOS that comes pre-loaded on Verizon iPhone 4 handsets. Jailbreak fans can download greenpois0n RC5.4, which supports iPhone 4 units running iOS 4.2.6, from http://greenpois0n.com. Yesterday, many customers who pre-ordered a Verizon iPhone back on February 3 received the handset in the mail. However, the handset came pre-loaded with an updated version of the iOS (iOS 4.2.6, which features "Personal Hotspot"), meaning Verizon iPhone users could not jailbreak their shiny new device. Fortunately, the Chronic Dev-Team wasted no time in updating greenpois0n to support iOS 4.2.6. If you're interested in jailbreaking your Verizon iPhone, head over to http://greenpois0n.com and download the new jailbreak tool for your operating system. Then, you can follow our guides (Mac/PC) as everything else is the same. Let us know how the process goes for you in the comments below.
