"Previous Purchases" Hits iPad App Store

February 4, 2011
Apple's iPad App Store has finally received a feature we've been waiting a long time for. Now, users can easily identify previously purchased iPad applications via an "Install" button. Before this feature launched, all paid apps in the App Store were labeled with a "Buy" button - even if you'd already purchased the application. Obviously, this made re-downloading previously purchased applications a little confusing. Now, apps you've already purchased (on the account you're signed in with) display an "Install" button (see above image). This way, you know you can re-download the app again without being charged. Currently, the feature is only available in the iPad App Store. However, it shouldn't be too difficult for Apple to transfer it over to the iPhone App Store too, so look out for it. Over the past few hours, Apple has been adding new features to its iPad App Store. Earlier, we told you about App Store filters - another handy, new addition. It's great to see these new features reach the iPad App Store. I know I'll definitely appreciate them. Will you?
