Sparrow Lite Now Available In The Mac App Store

A free, lite version of Sparrow for Mac is now available to download in the Mac App Store. Sparrow Lite for Mac is ad supported, and users cannot sync more than one e-mail account with the application.
Sparrow provides users with a serious alternative to Apple's Mail application. The app displays e-mails in a list, and they can be previewed in a window pane on the right hand side of the application - kind of like the iPad's Mail app. Features such as "quick reply" and "quicklook" - which allow users to preview attachments - make Sparrow an all around excellent e-mail client.
Both versions of Sparrow currently handle Google Mail accounts only (a future update will "integrate IMAP support for most providers"). The apps offer a "Tweetie" like design, which looks and feels great. I've been using Sparrow with a couple of e-mail accounts for around two weeks now, and I'm really impressed with the application.
If you haven't yet tried Sparrow, download Sparrow Lite for Mac, and see what you think. Currently, the paid version is available for $9.99.
