The popular iOS IM client, WhatsApp Messenger, has just received a great update. Now, fans of the app can participate in "Group Chat," a new feature that allows users to create a "chatroom" within the application.
If you're not familiar with WhatsApp Messenger, this clever app allows users to send instant messages to one another. However, WhatsApp also works on a variety of different platforms, like Android, and BlackBerry OS. If you've got pals who are still stuck in RIM's corporate camp, get them to download WhatsApp, you'll be able to chat together, for free.
This latest update to the application means a group of WhatsApp users can talk together in a "chatroom," within the app itself. It's a handy improvement, and one fans of the application will definitely appreciate.
If you don't already own WhatsApp Messenger, you should check it out. It's currently available in the App Store for $0.99, which is an absolute bargain, if you ask me.
