The popular first person shooter for iOS, Archetype, has recently received a major update. Now, users of the application can enjoy two new game modes - "Free For All" and "Capture The Flag." Additionally, a total of 12 new levels have been added to Archetype, which is currently available to download for $0.99.
If you're not familiar with Archetype, the app "delivers a high quality console style FPS experience on iPhone or iPod touch." With support for the Retina display and Game Center, Archetype is undoubtedly one of the best first person shooters available for the iPhone and iPod touch. An HD iPad version is available too, but it has not yet received this update.
The new version of Archetype adds 12 levels, as mentioned. Six of these are Free For All levels, three are Team Deathmatch levels, and three are Capture The Flag levels. Additionally, a "unified lobby" has been added to the application, which makes multiplayer matchmaking easier than ever. Lastly, enhancements and bug fixes are also present in the update.
Currently, you can download Archetype for $0.99. Check out the updated version, and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
