Jailbreak Only: TruPrint is AirPrint, The Way Apple Should Have Done It

March 1, 2011
TruPrint is a new jailbreak tweak developed by Intelliborn (the guys behind MyWi). This handy hack greatly extends AirPrint support - meaning you can use the service with hundreds of printers that aren't listed as being "compatible with AirPrint." In case you're not familiar with the feature, AirPrint allows iOS users to wirelessly print documents from their iDevice. Unfortunately, not many printers are supported - in fact, only a handful are. However, as usual, the jailbreak community has come up with a solution to this problem. TruPrint extends AirPrint support to hundreds of printers. Obviously, as the feature was introduced in iOS 4.2, users still need to be running this version of the iOS in order to take advantage of TruPrint. Additionally, once you've used up the app's three day free trial, TruPrint does cost $9.99. But, if you're the kind of person who would utilize AirPrint, the price of the app is justified. For more information, check out the video below. Alternatively, you can take a look at the app in Cydia, where it comes with the three day free trial. And, if you do, let us know your thoughts in the comments.
