The popular Safari alternative, Opera, is now available to download via the Mac App Store for free.
Back in April of last year, Apple approved Opera Mini, the iOS version of its Web browser. More recently, we heard that an iPad version of the app is scheduled to debut any time now.
Earlier today Apple approved the Macintosh version of Opera, and made the application available in the Mac App Store (version 11.01, build 1206). Currently, the app is available to download for free.
Does this mean we'll soon see the Mac versions of Google Chrome and Firefox become available in the Mac App Store?
We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, head over to the Mac App Store and download Opera now - as noted, it's available for free.
