April 1, 2011
Essay, the popular rich text editor for the iPad has received an update adding universal support for the iPhone/iPod touch. Best of all, it is now available for just $.99 for a limited time.
Created by Holtwick Dirk, Essay makes it easy to create elegant documents that can be easily synched using Dropbox, so you can access them from any Mac, PC, or other iDevice.
Because Essay documents use HTML, the importing and exporting of documents is very simple. Plus, the internal web browser of Essay makes it easy to follow linked data without leaving the app. This is a huge selling point since you can connect your documents with links and use the app like you own 'Wiki' and browse it with your web browser from your synced Dropbox folder.
In addition, the app includes a large number of more advanced features, including highlighting, mark and underline points, and much more.
For a limited time the now universal Essay app is available for $.99 in the App Store. For those that purchased the app previously for the iPad, you can download the app for free from your iPhone/iPod touch.
