Atomix Mag, a collaborative project by Atomix and Area 5, is a recently released magazine (for the iPad) that covers only video games. In fact, Atomix Mag prides itself on being "the first video game magazine conceived and developed for the iPad." Currently, the app is available to download for free. Each issue costs $0.99.
The magazine covers everything video game related - from top AAA games, to "indie" releases. The application promises to make use of the iPad's multitouch screen, giving customers an "unprecedented level of user interaction." Here's how the application's developer describes Atomix Mag, as outlined in the app's release notes:
Atomix Magazine is the first videogame magazine conceived and developed for the iPad. Produced through a collaboration between Atomix and Area 5, it features exclusive multimedia content covering the spectrum of videogames and videogame culture, from AAA titles to the smallest indie games. As mentioned, each issue will be priced at $0.99. Eventually, support for Apple's in app subscription policy will be added, meaning users will have the option of subscribing to the publication through iTunes.
