Collect And Calm Your Thoughts With The Challenging Puzzles Of TriZen
April 26, 2011
Are you ready to push aside those angry thoughts of "one of those days" of work and errands? Little White Bear Studios offers up TriZen, a casual puzzle game that focuses your mind on more enjoyable problem solving, leaving everything else to fade away.
TriZen contains more than 500 puzzles of varying difficulties for you to concentrate on. Spend just a few minutes or find yourself immersed for hours trying to figure out how the shapes merge to create simple images. Retina display worthy graphics accompanied by soothing background music composed by Atomicon will take you to a what seems to be an alternative reality of calmness -- or at least allow you to ignore annoying things around you.
Select your puzzle of preference by tapping on it in the selection screen - and you can change pages by tapping on the indicators at the bottom or swiping left or right. Each puzzle contains four to 12 shapes that will fit together to create the image. Drag the shapes from the sides into to main area to manipulate and place them. Tap once to select, tap on a selected shape to turn it one time, and double tap to flip it.
There's no rush in assembling these puzzling colorful creations, but that's not to say it won't require some serious scrutinizing. You can do the puzzles in whatever order you wish, but you still could end up in that unfortunate scenario of complete confusion. If that's the case, there is a little help available. Double tap within the open (gray) areas of the puzzle to provoke a hint (shaded section). Continue with double taps to cycle through them. Each puzzle only has a set number of hints, which increases as the difficulty increases.
Little White Bear Studios is so confident that you'll be happily addicted to the Zen experience that they've also released the no cost TriZen Lite, which offers up 50 puzzles with the same gameplay, plus Game Center support.
TriZen and TriZen Lite are designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later. Game Center features require iOS 4.1 or later. TriZen is available in the App Store now at the introductory price of just $.99.
