The best of the best in the world idolized in a single location; that's what the Guinness World Records is all about. The task of becoming one of the elite in a category is no easy feat. Guinness World Records is looking to change that -- at least to an extent -- by allowing iDevice owners a way to officially have their chance at the record book.
Gamers Edition Arcade offers up five mini-games that were influenced by the top all-time classics. Combined, the mini-games utilize all three of the iDevice iOS control features: tilt, swipe, and tap. Play each mini-game individually or run through them all in Adventure Mode.
• Take out the upset gorillas in Monkey Country. Defend the humans for one minute by poking at those furry gorilla beasts to keep them away, but don't poke the humans or you'll lose points.
• Twist and turn those gears of Mental Gears to pick that lock! Be the best locksmith you can be for 60 seconds at a time.
• Remember that scene in a thriller flick where some guy has to disarm a bomb before everyone gets vaporized? It's your turn to do the anxious sweating by cutting only the correct wires inChest Of Destruction
• Looking for more close calls? The high-flying fun of Hoover's Hot Air Escape will have you tiling your iDevice like crazy to avoid slamming into the dangerous cliffs of the canyon walls.
• Collect the rupees by tiling the chests as quickly as you can in Rupee Roulette.
Making your way to the tippy-top of the Guinness World Records' Leaderboards will offer a chance to get your name in the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition book. While working up the official leaderboards, you can share scores amongst your friends and challengers easily via Game Center, OpenFeint, and Facebook.
