The Best iPhone Apps Of The Week
April 3, 2011
Beginning this week, AppAdvice will present what we consider are the best iPhone apps of the past week. We hope you enjoy!
AppAdvice’s iPhone App Of The Week - Vimeo
Popular video-sharing site Vimeo finally released an official app for the iPhone/iPod touch in the App Store. The app is absolutely free and packed full of functionality, including the ability to upload media directly from the iPhone to its service.
A quick survey of the app’s features shows that a lot of time and energy went into creating this masterpiece. Sure, other sites let you upload video from your handset, but Vimeo’s process is more detailed. It is a full-featured video editor that allows you to record and edit new material on the fly, including the ability to add transitions, titles, and audio.
This is a must-have app for anyone that loves Vimeo.
New iPhone Apps

Facebook’s status updates are one of the social networking site’s most popular features. Now the Facemood app claims it can analyze those little posts and determine what they really say about your friends. Is this believable or even possible?

Arguably the week's most talked about app, Color takes photo-taking to a new level. Love it or hate it, the app has already made its mark in the App Store.
Angry Birds Rio
Ten million downloads and counting for the latest app in the Angry Birds series.

We enjoyed the first version of the photo app already, now version 2 includes some additional features that make it even better.
Essay
Essay, the popular rich text editor for the iPad is now universal.
Twitter
It’s over: the heavily panned Twitter QuickBar (known as the #dickbar to many) is gone. The annoying bar, which inserted ads into your tweet-stream on the iPhone, has been given its last rites and is dead, just days after Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey rejoined the company.
FX Photo Studio
This latest update (also for iPad) brings more stability, fine-tuning for effects, and six new filters in a new category called Sketch.
Doodle Jump
One of the more popular games in the App Store has received a significant update. Doodle Jump now includes multiplayer support, which lets you compete against your friends when you are using a Wi-Fi network.
