You Don't Know Jack Is Coming For iPad, iPhone, And iPod Touch

April 9, 2011
If you're a trivia fan than you've likely heard of the game You Don't Know Jack. Jellyvision has announced they will be bringing their acclaimed party game to the App Store in the not too distant future. You Don't Know Jack for iPhone / iPod touch and You Don't Know Jack HD for iPad will include all of the excitement that fans have come to expect from the franchise. • 20 full episodes of everybody's favorite quiz show trivia game • Leaderboards and Achievements through Game Center • Multiple Choice Questions, DisOrDats, and Jack Attacks • Specialty questions like Who's the Dummy, Funky Trash, and Cookie's Fortune For those unaware, You Don't Know Jack is a joint venture by Jellyvision and Berkeley Systems from the 1990s. The idea was to make trivia and general learning fun. Users experience the action in a game show-style of play, where an unseen host introduces the rounds, categories, and questions in an upbeat, witty, and whacky fashion. To further entice users, the game includes both general knowledge topics and pop culture material. Most of the trivia is multiple choice questions, but even those are typically a twist on what most would expect. Scattered amongst the multiple choice are special rounds like DisOrDats and Jack Attacks. For example, DisOrDats has a word or phrase related to one of two possible items, requiring players to make a guess as to which it belongs. Jack Attacks work in a similar fashion, except that the related items make their way in and out of view one by one, forcing players to select what they think is the best choice before it vanishes and the next item appears. Players gain or lose virtual prize money as they answer correctly or incorrectly. Both You Don't Know Jack and You Don't Know Jack HD are planned to be available in cheaper trimmed down "lite" versions. At this point, a full feature list, pricing, and an exact release date have not yet been revealed. [gallery link="file" columns="4"]
