An untethered jailbreak solution is coming soon for iOS 4.3.1, according to @MuscleNerd. The vocal Dev-Team member recently replied to a fan over Twitter, confirming that @i0n1c's "untether is solid," and that a few minor issues need to be fixed before the solution is released.
MuscleNerd recently noted:
@Klikkser well @i0n1c's untether is solid! Just working out overall 4.3.x JB issues and Cydia :) http://is.gd/ac44emHowever, iPad 2 owners should be aware that @i0n1c's untethered solution will not be compatible with the second generation device. As confirmed by MuscleNerd, again on Twitter:
@branz1 remember, i0n1c's untether doesn't cover iPad2 yet...so must still wait for a legal method to distribute comex's 4.3 JB for iPad2We'll keep you posted on the status of an untethered solution for iOS 4.3.1. In the meantime, if you desperately want to jailbreak your iDevice under iOS 4.3.1, a tethered solution is already available. You can read more about it here.
