Undead Island Gets A Name Change And Goes On Sale, Free Prequel Now Available

April 7, 2011
As a nice start to April, Team Phobic has released the first update to their well-liked platformer, Undead Island, as well as a small prequel to the game for new and existing fans to experience. Foremost, Undead Island has been renamed to Undead Ocean because of a trademark conflict. The name isn't the only change that v1.1 brings to the game. Along with some bug fixing and gameplay improvements, Undead Ocean allows a user to swap the jump and attack buttons under Options. In an effort to give newcomers a chance to experience the fun without any need to pull out the pocketbook, Team Phobic released the "freequel" Undead Ocean Dojo as an ad-supported lite version of the full game -- which even includes Game Center integration. Undead Ocean Dojo tells the story of how the female warrior became a powerful ninja and the purpose of her mission against these new vile creatures through five Undead Ocean Dojo-exclusive levels that even current fans can enjoy. Undead Ocean is a 3-D action-platformer where our heroine is a skillful ninja who embarks on a journey to protect her island home from an unexpected onslaught of zombies. The game includes simple tilt and touch controls, where one side of the screen is jump and the other side is attack, plus Game Center leaderboards and achievements. Undead Ocean and Undead Ocean Dojo are compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, second generation iPod touch, third generation iPod touch, and fourth generation iPod touch running iOS 4.1 or later. Undead Ocean is available in the App Store for a limited time 50% off price of just $.99. Users can grab a copy of Undead Ocean Dojo for absolutely free.
