CollabraCam is a recently released application for the iPhone and iPod touch, which allows users to create movies from video shot on four different iOS devices. Currently, the app is available to download for $5.99 (40 percent off its usual price).
As outlined in the app's release notes:
CollabraCam provides a quick, easy and fun way to engage in multi-camera video production with your family, friends and colleagues. CollabraCam's patent pending technology eliminates the need for thousands of dollars worth of equipment, wires and expensive software with a simple, yet powerful, live video editing workflow previously only available to professionals. In order to take advantage of the app's "multi-camera video" feature, simply download CollabraCam on several iOS devices (up to four), and connect the devices to a local wireless network. Once connected, launch the app and the "director" of the movie will be able to view the video recorded on all four cameras - and choose the best angles to take - in real time. Furthermore, if you input the name of the movie and copyright information (when creating a project), the app will automatically generate credits. Here's a complete list of features, again taken from CollabraCam's release notes:
