Gameprom Adds Game Center To Their Military-Themed Pinball Game

Gameprom's first update to their meticulously crafted pinball game based on hit military films made its way into the App Store just a couple of days ago. War Pinball and War Pinball HD v1.1 add Game Center integration, video-out, and corrects some issues.
The Game Center support features a leaderboard for each table, plus an additional one for Top Platoon Survivors. The 53 achievements span all three tables and while containing the typical score level goals, there are plenty of action specific tasks braggers will need to perform. In fact, there's even an achievement for losing balls.
The second addition to v1.1 includes video-out support. The iPhone 3GS and 3G iPod touch output at SD quality, whereas the iPhone 4 and 4G iPod touch can do fullscreen HD. For those using War Pinball HD on an iPad 2, the game is beautifully displayed in up to 1080p.
When in dual-display mode, the flippers still respond to left and right side screen taps, but the plunger action is done with a slider located at the bottom-center of the screen. Pausing the game can be done by topping the top-center of the screen. Menus and other game controls are done via your iDevice screen, although, the actual gameplay graphics are sent to your TV or other external screen.
Gameprom has made a note that they're finishing up work on an update to the Mac OS X version of Pinball HD and the Mac OS X release of War Pinball HD. One last upcoming notice to share is the planned release of another downloadable table for Pinball HD, and that's Da Vinci.
War Pinball is a pinball game not like most others. Each table offering is uniquely designed to capture and honor the hit military movies Platoon, Navy Seals, and Missing In Action. Layouts include items like model helicopters, planes, wire tracks, wooden bridges, huts, and more. Last, but certainly not least, such a dedication wouldn't be complete without officially licensed graphics, audio clips, and sound effects straight out of the motion pictures.
War Pinball is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, third generation iPod touch, and fourth generation iPod touch running iOS 4.1 or later, and available in the App Store for $.99. War Pinball HD is compatible with iPad running iOS 4.1 or later, and is available in the App Store for $2.99.
