How-To: Setup Dropbox With The iWork Apps

Dropbox is a fantastic service for having your files everywhere. There are tons of apps that integrate with it and the technology simply works. There are some very popular apps that work great with WebDAV servers, but not with Dropbox.
This can be a frustrating thing. Apps like Keynote, Pages, Numbers, OmniGraffle, OmniOutliner, and many other popular apps can’t connect with Dropbox. There is a solution … it is called DropDAV.
DropDAV allows you to access your Dropbox account as a WebDAV server. The service is free if you have a free Dropbox account. If you pay for Dropbox then you’ll pay at most six dollars a month for DropDAV.
The setup process is very simple. All you need to do is sign up for the service and then setup each of the apps you want to use with it.
Simply enter “https://dav.dropdav.com” in the address field and your Dropbox user name (email address) and password in the appropriate fields for any apps you want to use with it. After that you’ll have full access to your Dropbox account in the iWork apps, the OmniGroup apps, and any other app that works with WebDAV access.
