iBuildApp Launches Free HTML5 App Development For Mobile Platforms

May 6, 2011
Recently iBuildApp announced the launch of Mobile Web Apps, a service that allows businesses and individuals to create and distribute mobile apps without writing any code. Recently we told you about iBuildApp and the service they provide, which includes the capability of publishing various forms of text-based content to the iPad without up front costs. This new service offers the ability to create HTML5 apps that will be compatible with any iDevice, as well as Android devices. All kinds of apps and content can be created using HTML5 -- and, as some of you may know, Steve Jobs hopes it will eventually replace Adobe Flash. You can use iBuildApp's Web Apps to insert images, icons, skins, various social media outlets, fonts, e-commerce outlets, and other additions to your apps, as you create them. There is even a preview window that allows you to see how the app will work before it is completed and you can update them at anytime. This is a great solution for those developers that want cross platform and Web-based apps with more reach than apps simply targeting one mobile platform. The service is also free of up front costs. It is great for those who aren't expert coders, or don't enjoy writing code. Here is a list of additional features from the info the company released:
  • eCommerce and promotions features that help businesses to target mobile users with new offers and services.
  • GPS functionality to help businesses target users by location.
  • Video and Audio Streaming as well as image galleries to display products.
  • Customers can review photo galleries, get video and audio streams, get directions, and many more features.
  • The ability to customize apps and add social media features.
  • Preview apps before publishing to see how the app will work on a real device.
  • Quick to build and update a web mobile app with no need to wait for app store approval.
  • Ability to make instant updates to the app.
You can start coding and experimenting with HTML5 apps using the iBuildApp Mobile Web Apps service here.
