Jailbreak Only: RecognizeMe - Facial Recognition Security, Coming Soon To The iPhone 4

May 20, 2011
RecognizeMe is an upcoming jailbreak tweak, which - once released - will allow users to unlock their iPhone 4, just by looking at it. Sounds good, right? As you can see in the demo video below, the jailbreak package promises to bring "biometric facial recognition security" to the iPhone 4. This means that users will be able to configure the handset to scan their own face in order to unlock the iPhone. Furthermore, it will be possible to adjust exactly "how sure" you want the app to be, in order to go ahead with the unlock (this ranges from "Not Secure" to "Very Secure"). According to the developer's comments on the official YouTube video, the app has been submitted to the Cydia Store. We'll keep you posted on the status of its "approval" and release. In the meantime, check out the video below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
