Lockitron Will Let You Lock Your Front Door Using An iPhone

Lockitron is a recently launched service that allows users to lock their front door with a smart phone. It's an incredibly impressive concept: Lockitron works with practically any handset, and with "most door locks" (from deadbolts to handle locks). Simply plug a "small device" into the back of your Internet router, and - after installing a Lockitron Self-Install Kit - you'll be able to unlock your door from a smart phone via the service's Web app. Furthermore, Lockitron offers a text message service, meaning any mobile phone can unlock a Lockitron lock, simply by sending an SMS message. And with support for NFC, Nexus S (and hopefully future iPhone) owners can unlock their door simply by waving their handset in front of the lock. Amazing, right?
