Could The Makers Of Halo Be Hard At Work On A Multiplayer Shooter For iOS?

Bungie, the video game developer famous for creating the renowned Halo series (for Microsoft's XBOX and XBOX 360), is reportedly hard at work on something new. The project - "Crimson" - is purportedly a massively multiplayer online first person shooter (MMOFPS) which could be available on iOS devices.
More specifically, the title is actually being developed by Bungie Aerospace - a project Bungie has just incorporated in Delaware and Washington, according to MTV Multiplayer. The first "public move" made by Bungie Aerospace was the filing of a trademark for something called "Crimson," which is "computer game software for use on mobile and cellular phones."
According to Touch Arcade, the "word on the street" is that the upcoming project is in fact "a shooter MMO." If this is the case, and the project is intended "for use on mobile and cellular devices," it may be that Bungie is planning on releasing an awesome iOS app for Apple fans to enjoy.
This would be nice - not just because it would score us another cool app to play with, but because the move would signify something of a reconciliation between Bungie and the Apple community. As many of you will know or remember, Bungie - who previously developed exclusively for the Mac - was acquired by Microsoft back in June, 2000. Since, the company's main interests have mainly been aligned with the inside of Steve Ballmer's wallet.
However, this could soon change. If the company - or some division of the company - is planning on releasing a game for mobile devices, we'd certainly hope that the app makes its way to iOS. And if it does, you can certainly expect it to be great.
We'll keep you posted.
