Qualcomm is planning on bringing its impressive Augmented Reality Software Development Kit to iOS, according to a recent report.
The news comes from All Things Digital, in an article that hit the Web yesterday. Currently, Qualcomm's SDK is available for Android developers only, "a logical starting point because of developer momentum and Snapdragon penetration," according to Jay Wright (the company's Senior Director of Business Development). He added: "Moving forward we will support additional operating systems," including Apple's iOS.
Qualcomm's SDK allows developers to create impressive augmented reality apps, like Inch High Stunt Guy (which you can check out in the video below). Fortunately for Apple fans, now Qualcomm is bringing its SDK to iOS devices, Inch High's developer is planning on developing an iPhone version of the app, and making it available in the App Store.
Undoubtedly, other impressive augmented reality apps developed using the SDK will make the move to iOS, too, in the coming months.
We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, check out the video below, and let us know if you're excited for Inch High Stunt Guy in the comments.
