European football fans have a big reason to get excited for today's release of First Touch Soccer. This year's version of what was formerly X2 Football brings along a myriad of features for local, online, and specialized matches.
Developed by Exient's and published by X2 Games, First Touch Soccer offers the chance to manage and control over 250 club teams through 30 competitions, all across seven different game modes. Matches are played from dynamic camera views with Retina display worthy graphics, plus plenty of animations, cinematic replays, exciting celebration moves, and commentary.
First Touch Soccer's control system offers the necessary precision abilities necessary to make your way down field and score crowd pleasing goals. Use the virtual joystick to move players around the field, and tap or tap and hold one of three actions buttons that determine how hard the ball is kicked for a score or pass. Double tapping the right side of the screen will do a skill move, best suited for those moments that a traditional pass or score attempt won't even come close to getting the job done.
Behind the glimmer of stadium lights and epic goal saves is the chance to do some serious customization. Choose the home and away team jersey, pick substitutions, and even create your own "Dream Team." Further options include four difficulty levels, the ability to edit league, team, and player names, various AI elements, get pumped with your own iPod music, and more.
Start a Quick Match for more casual play, enter a tournament to put your skills to the full test, or take a bit more realistic approach by controlling a single player in Star Player mode. If you have a football fanatic friend with an iDevice, take them on locally using a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection, or jump online and do your fancy ball handling in a Game Center match-up. Additional Game Center integration consists of 21 achievements and three leaderboards: Ranking Points, Games Won, and Goals Scored.
First Touch Soccer is designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 3.1 or later, and is available in the App Store now at the introductory price of $.99.
