Voice Brief Updated: Adds Alarm Integration, Google Reader Support, Multiple Calendars & More!

May 7, 2011
Voice Brief ($3.99) - the popular productivity app that we reviewed back in March - has recently received a major update. Now, users of the app can enjoy a variety of great, new features, including alarm integration, support for Google Reader (and custom RSS feeds), "multiple calendar integration" and more. As outlined in the app's release notes, "major" improvements include:
  • Wake up with Voice Brief - Alarm integration
  • Google Reader support
  • Custom RSS feed address support
  • Auto start with updates and launch.
  • Multiple calendar integration
  • Musical section bridge --> my favorite update
  • On-the-fly News share
  • Custom sentence adds current time and date support
If you're not familiar with Voice Brief, this handy app effectively "reads" important information (from Facebook, Twitter, Weather and more) to users. However, since receiving its most recent update (version 1.51), Voice Brief has become even more useful and effective. Now, users can have Voice Brief integrate with their preset alarms, meaning you can wake up to the sound of the app reading the day's news to you. Furthermore, support for Google Reader means working through unread RSS feeds (which can be a daunting task), is easily reduced to nothing more than sitting back, and listening to Voice Brief for a few minutes - or hours. A variety of "minor fixes" mean the app is more stable than ever, which is great. Currently, Voice Brief is available to download for $3.99 in the App Store. Check out the latest version, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
