Apple Brings Photos To The Cloud, Unveils "Photo Stream"

June 6, 2011
Apple has just unveiled a brand new iCloud feature, which will launch with iOS 5 - "Photo Stream." The feature will allow users to have their photos integrate seamlessly with iCloud. According to Steve Jobs:
You take a photo on any device, and it's automaticly pushed to the iCloud and saved to all my devices. So I dock my photos on my iPad just waiting for me.
Photo Stream will work alongside the Photos app on iOS devices, and alongside iPhoto (on Macs) and the Pictures folder on Windows PCs. Furthermore, the feature will work with Apple TV devices, too. This certainly looks like an impressive feature - you take an image on your iPhone, and you can view it instantly on your Mac or PC. Sounds rather amazing, if you ask me. The key question, however, is: How badly will this affect Instagram? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. [gallery columns="2"]
