Apple Snubs Carriers, Launches iMessages Without Informing Anyone

June 7, 2011
Yesterday, Apple unveiled a new feature of the iOS - iMessages. This handy feature allows Apple fans to send free instant messages to one another, from within the Messages app, for free. Interestingly, today we're hearing that Apple launched this feature without informing carriers. Why is this interesting? Will you? Let us know in the comments. [via Daring Fireball]
