The iPhone Dev-Team has recently released an updated version of redsn0w for Windows, which adds support for the first beta version of iOS 5.
After releasing an iOS 5 jailbreak solution for Macintosh computers, the iPhone Dev-Team has now given Windows fans a slice of the iOS 5 jailbreak-cake. In keeping with tradition, the news of redsn0w for Windows' update hit the Web via @MucleNerd's Twitter account. He wrote:
Windows redsn0w iOS5 jailbreak released http://is.gd/6eek4Y -- devs ONLY....PLEASE don't pirate Apple software!Currently, both versions of redsn0w can only provide users with a tethered solution. This means that in order to regain jailbreak functionality, users will have to plug their iPhone into a computer, and boot it using redsn0w whenever it is switched off or runs out of power. However, unlockers should stay away from this release. For more information on redsn0w for iOS 5, head over to the appropriate section of the iPhone Dev-Team's website.
