At least a few iOS developers are abuzz about this week's release of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and FrogDog Media is doing their own metamorphosis on the action-packed flick with the latest iStoryTime digital children's book. The Transformers Dark of the Moon Mix & Match Book is a collection of brief scene descriptions involving Autobots and Decepticons from the third motion picture installment of the Transformers series. Read and view each small scene by swiping left or right on the three horizontal storybook sections, one at a time or with a multi-finger drag. As spectacular as Ratchet, Mirage, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Sentinel Prime, Shockwave, Crowbar, Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave are; how cool would it be to combine Bumblebee's sleek torso looks and pulse cannon with the camouflage abilities and sharpness of Mirage? Although, maybe others have even better combinations in mind. Transformers Dark of the Moon Mix & Match Book has more than 200 different possibilities to experiment with, including a mix and match of scene descriptions. Need some inspiration or maybe a laugh? Shake your iDevice to do a random selection of legs, torso, and head components. While most fans should be experts at nearly every member of these technologically advanced alien species, that doesn't mean one or two haven't slipped away over the years. At the bottom of each page are Autobot and Decepticon symbols. Tap on the emblems to get a basic overview, including facts like weapon and unit position, of the character whose head is currently selected. Written by David Roe and illustrated by Alex Milne and Rob Ruffalo of Udon Entertainment, the Transformers Dark of the Moon Mix & Match Book includes colorful artwork and even the famous transforming sound effect licensed by Hasbro. Transformers Dark of the Moon Mix & Match Book is a universal app compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later, and available in the App Store for $2.99.
