Facebook is expected to “launch something awesome” next week, according to its Chief Executive and founder, Mark Zuckerberg. Could this be the long overdue arrival of the social networking site’s native iPad app? According to a Reuters report, Zuckerberg said the new project launching next week was developed at Facebook’s 40-person Seattle office. This is the same office that developed Facebook’s unified mobile site, first available in March. Just last week The New York Times reported Facebook’s iPad app has been tested internally for nearly a year and will include features not currently available via the Facebook website. According to a person who has seen the app:
“The photo and video experience is amazing, offering full resolution and full-screen images.”Hopefully Facebook's announcement next week is indeed for its iPad app. We’ll keep you updated.
