Halfbrick Studios has brought us some great iOS games, and the developer's upcoming Machine Gun Jetpack looks like it's going to be no exception. Although the game is a while off hitting the App Store, TUAW was able to catch up with Halfbrick at E3, and shared the spoils of its meeting in an article that hit the Web recently.
Fans of Halfbrick Studios will be pleased to hear that Barry Steakfries features as the protagonist in Machine Gun Jetpack, which sees the popular character strap on a "machine gun jetpack" and fly along an endless corridor, raining bullets drown on enemies as he goes.
According to TUAW, the application will feature "special vehicles" and "different jetpacks," too:
These included the big cyborg mech and the teleporting jetpack from last time around, plus a flying bird suit and a gravity suit that lets you switch from the top of the screen to the bottom at will. I also saw some of the different jetpacks, including a bubble pack that's a little faster than your normal rig (making the game easier). Halfbrick showed me some of the game's missions; like Tiny Wings, there are various goals to complete over your runs that will win new awards and achievements for accomplishing them. While no specific release date has yet been announced, you can expect Machine Gun Jetpack to hit the App Store in a few months. And when it does, Halfbrick notes that it'll be available for just $0.99. We'll keep you posted. [gallery columns="2"]
