Jailbreak Only: This Tweak Could Let Users Run Two Apps On An iPad

The iPad can run non-universal iPhone apps in compatibility mode, but how about running two, side by side? Jailbreak developer Aaron Ash (@aaronash) is currently in the process of creating a tweak that will allow such a feat to be achieved on a jailbroken iPad.
According to Ash, there are "a few bugs" which need to be ironed out before the tweak is released to the public, such as "audio not working, and accelerometer events not getting sent to applications." However, the app is "definitely usable" and its "performance is actually pretty good."
As explained over at Ash's blog:
The bottom right button turns on “edit mode” which allows you to rearrange applications, and rotate them (Angry Birds normally runs in landscape, here they’re turned). I’m debating on if I should go for the typical desktop feel or make it more SpringBoard-like and keep apps in preset locations.Ash notes that the tweak should be available in a few months, once he's had chance to polish it up. We'll keep you posted, and in the meantime, let us know your thoughts on this tweak in the comments. [via MacStories]
