Jailbreak Only: TweakWeek - Week Two, Here's What's New
by Joe White
June 15, 2011
The second week of "TweakWeek" has now come to a close, with a total of seven jailbreak tweaks having been developed and released by Filippo Bigarella each and every day of the past week (June 8-14). In this article, we're giving a recap of everything Bigarella developed and released during week two of TweakWeek.
In order to download any of the below tweaks, you must first add Ryan Petrich's repository to Cydia. It is: "http://rpetri.ch/repo."
ColorShot
This tweak displays a "random color" instead of a white flash when users take screenshots on an iOS device. (Reminder: You can take a screenshot on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch by pressing the Hold and Home button simultaneously.)
SwishUnlock
We told you about SwishUnlock the other day: This handy tweak adds a double-lock to the in-call screen, making it near-impossible for users to accidentally interact with their iPhone during a phone call.
SpotURL
This tweak allows users to open URLs from Spotlight. Simply, but handy.
TheftAlarm
Once installed and activated, TheftAlarm will sound an alarm when your iPhone is disconnected from a power source. It's an easy way to keep your iPhone handset secure while charging.
VerticalAppToApp
This tweak adds a "vertical animation" when switching between iOS applications.
LowPowerSquare
With LowPowerSquare, a small, red square is displayed on the iPhone's status bar when its battery life is below 20 percent.
PrivateSMS
This tweak hides SMS messages when users open the Messages app.
And there you have it - TweakWeek week two, complete. As mentioned, all of the above tweaks can be downloaded for free, providing users have added Ryan Petrich's repository in Cydia ("http://rpetri.ch/repo").
Check the above tweaks out, and let us know which is your favorite in the comments.
