MuscleNerd Confirms: iOS 5 Already Jailbroken, "Not Too Many Surprises"
According to a recent Twitter update from @MuscleNerd (a prominent member of the iPhone Dev-Team), iOS 5 has already been jailbroken.
The news came earlier today. Here's what the tweet read:
iOS5 jailbroken on ipt4g:http://is.gd/7GxIcK http://is.gd/BwPvfh via limera1n + tethered boot..not too many surprises :)
As you can see in the above screenshots (which were included with the tweet), @MuscleNerd wasn't lying. He added in another tweet:
@imd23 yep Cydia works fine too from quick testing (I installed SSH) http://is.gd/oADWEo
Of course, software updates are never much of an issue for groups like the iPhone Dev-Team. Hardware updates, on the other hand, are a little trickier. For example - we've yet to see a jailbreak solution become available for the iPad 2. This is because of the tablet's dual-core Apple A5 chip.
We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on iOS 5 in the comments. Are there any features left you still want to jailbreak for?
