Magellan has recently updated its line of RoadMate applications for the iPhone, adding new features such as Yelp integration, Google Local Search and access to the very latest map updates. Now, users of the app can utilize Yelp integration, and search for listed attractions (including ratings and reviews) from within the application. Google Local Search is very handy, and the improved user interface looks great (as TUAW notes, lane assist works really well). Magellan notes that the updated applications come with "lifetime maps," because "roads change more often than you realize." It's important to highlight that Magellan here refers to the lifespan of your product, and that this is void after three years. Regardless, the update looks great - and if you already own either RoadMate USA or RoadMate North America, it's free. Otherwise the applications will set you back $34.99 and $39.99 respectively. If you're a fan of the update, let us know in the comments.
