Terminology Receives Major Update, Adds Many New Features

June 21, 2011
The popular dictionary and thesaurus iPad app, Terminology, has recently received a major update. Now, besides a rewritten user interface, users can take advantage of new customization options and improved performance. Currently, the application is available to download for $2.99. As outlined in the application's release notes, features added in the latest version of the app (2.0) include:
  • Rewritten user interface improves look and performance.
  • Ability to customize fonts and font sizes.
  • Ability to customize links to other apps and web resources.
  • Automatic searching for clipboard contents.
  • Integration with term.ly online companion.
  • Many other minor improvements.
Recently, support for Terminology was added in other third-party iOS apps, like Mr. Reeder and Instagram. Terminology itself is very much a "browser for words," which allows users to explore language through the application. It features a book-like interface, definitions, synonyms, antonyms and deeper word relations, and even an offline mode. As mentioned, the app is currently available for $2.99. Check out the updated version of Terminology, and let us know your thoughts in the comments. [via MacStories]
