Writing Kit Updated To 1.1, Plus A Chance To Win A Copy!
June 8, 2011
Writing Kit is a very robust writing app for your iPad that includes support for Markdown and research, right from within the app itself. We reviewed the app back at the end of May, and the bottom line was that if you are a frequent user of Markdown and research in your writing, then this app is well worth the $5 admission price.
Earlier today, Writing Kit has been updated with its first update to 1.1. With that includes a hefty amount of changes:
Added: Dropbox sync Added: Image uploading to CloudApp directly from your photo library Added: Markdown cheat sheet, accessible via the Info button Added: Auto-save current documents every 10 keystrokes Added: Default file extension setting in the Settings app Fixed: Multiple paragraph insertion from the Insert Quote dialog Fixed: Files sent from external apps are kept in Inbox folder instead of moving to Documents Fixed: File manager & Tasks menu sizes no longer stuck when you open them while the keyboard is presented Fixed: Keyboard is now correctly dismissed when switching between browser and editor Fixed: Popovers are dismissed when switching to the editor from the browser Fixed: Preserve cursor position after using Preview/Quick Research/the browser Fixed: Markdown source code posting to Posterous is now wrapped in Fixed: Helvetica is now used instead of Arial in Preview Removed: File auto naming Removed: Auto-archive Instapaper unread itemsSo if you like making your writing fancy with Markdown, and need easy access to research tools while you write, then Writing Kit is definitely for you. Luckily, AppAdvice has teamed up with the developer to give five lucky AppAdvice readers a copy of Writing Kit v1.1! For your chance to win a copy, please leave a comment with what you would need Writing Kit for. I will pick five winners on Sunday, June 12 at 8 p.m. Good luck, and happy writing!
